Telisha Prater
Family Nurse Practitioner

Hey! My name is Telisha Prater and I am a Family Nurse Practitioner. I was born and raised in Eastern Kentucky, more specifically, the “hollers” of Marrowbone near Elkhorn City. I have worked in healthcare for the last 12 years and became a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2022 to further advocate for my patients. During my time working in the perioperative setting of my healthcare career, I realized just how much I enjoy spending time with and caring for children. During my schooling, I dreamt of working in the pediatric setting, and luckily, that dream has become a reality. I truly feel I have found my home here at Compassion Pediatrics and can only hope to make the patients and family members I provide care to feel at home, as well. When I am not at work, I’m spending time with my husband, Ryan, and our children Tayden and Emersyn, and our 3 Doberman Pinscher’s, Daphne, Duke, and
Piper.
